Tab Trade - What Traders Should Know

TabTrade - The Short Version

Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker registered in Saint Lucia, under Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the FMA-regulated broker.

That last detail matters. It means the person running this has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is preferable to a founder with no industry background.

They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same facilities prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. Tab Trade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.

What you can trade: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something that is a few months old, that coverage is broad.

The Software

They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from the same login. Most brokers pick one platform. Having both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.

MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, automated trading, massive community. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. cBot support. A lot of traders prefer it after comparing.

FIX API is offered for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be coming. That will make the platform set when it lands.

What You Pay

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. So your real cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade has no minimum.

VIP account. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, tailored rates. Not something typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.

Execution Speed

This is the thing this broker stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.

Does it matter? If you trade small timeframes, absolutely. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That says what kind of broker this is.

Combine that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package holds up. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.

Regulation

Now, the part that matters. Tab Trade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, stop reading. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

That said. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. None of this make it safe. It should factor into how you think about it.

The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off makes sense comes down to your priorities.

Welcome Offer

Tab Trade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Standard deposit match. You put money in, the broker top up your balance. Usual conditions attached: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Review the fine print before funding.
